Dolanbay’s durational performative installations generate alienated situations. These situations engender a state of transformation where the audience and the artist enter into a liminal condition. Within that condition, the audience and the performance attain a state of equilibrium, in which the audience and the gradually evolving installation within its components – time, space, body / mind presence – manifest in a flow of concealed participation. Throughout the performance process, Dolanbay is in a continuous act of examining the dichotomy of Performativity & Constativity – Actuality & Potentiality – Act & Acting in relevance to performance art critique and the common subjective climate of everyday life.
